Andie Dikosavljevic arrived in Ho Chi Minh City with a triple crown fresh in the bag back home. She leaves with a shot at the title that has always escaped her in Asia.
The Australian has been the form player of the week at the MB Ho Chi Minh City Open 2026, storming into two finals without dropping a game. A big performer on PPA Tour Australia, where she recently completed that triple crown, Dikosavljevic has never quite carried the success across to the Asia circuit. This is her chance. Today in the Women’s Singles semifinal she dismantled Nok Yiu Tang 11-1, 11-5, ruthless from the first point to the last.
Waiting in the final is a player doing it the opposite way. Qualifier Trang Huynh has dropped the opening game in all three of her main draw matches and won the next two every time, the latest a 6-11, 11-9, 11-5 comeback against Mihae Kwon. It is the deepest Women’s Singles run of her PPA Tour Asia career, having never before been past the Round of 16. The ice-cold starter against the slow burner.
FOLLOW TOURNAMENT ACTION
Dikosavljevic’s second final comes in Women’s Doubles. She and top seed Yufei Long swept past Albie Huang and Yu-chieh Hsieh 11-3, 11-5 and meet Xiao Yi Wang-Beckvall and Nok Yiu Tang for the title. Wang-Beckvall and Tang earned their place the hard way, surviving Aiko Yoshitomi and Kei Sawaki 11-9, 10-12, 14-12 in the tightest match of the day.
The Men’s Singles final will be missing some familiar names. Hong Kit Wong’s bid for a fourth straight gold is over, the top seed beaten 5-11, 11-7, 11-9 by Luc Pham in the semifinal. The home dream fell in the other half too, Adam Harvey turning the tables on Hien Truong with an emphatic 11-4, 11-5 win. The American will be looking to go one better than his Singapore singles silver from last month. Harvey and Pham will meet for the title, two players who have knocked out the tournament’s biggest names to get there.
The Men’s Doubles served up the match of the day. Top seeds Eunggwon Kim and Hong Kit Wong, still chasing a first gold together, were pushed to the brink and over it by the new duo of Hoang Nam Ly and Collin Johns, who edged a three-game thriller 11-5, 13-15, 11-7 as the home crowd roared Ly and Johns on. They face Hien Truong and Quan Do in the final, the reunited two-time gold medalists having come through 5-11, 11-2, 11-8 against Robert Stirling and Kenta Miyoshi. Vietnam is guaranteed a finalist with Ly and Truong on opposite sides.

In Mixed Doubles, Lingwei Kong and Hong Kit Wong cruised past Aiko Yoshitomi and Lucas Pascoe 11-4, 11-1 to reach the final, where they meet top seeds Nok Yiu Tang and Eunggwon Kim. Tang and Kim ended Vietnamese hopes in the semifinal, holding off Ngoc Si and Joseph Wild 12-10, 12-10.
