PPA TOUR ASIA RETURNS TO HO CHI MINH CITY WITH AN ALL-NEW SPORT AND ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCE
| July 20, 2026
PPA Tour Asia’s second tournament in Vietnam this year brings together more than 500 players from over 20 countries and territories — four days of top-flight competition, wrapped in a full sport-and-lifestyle experience for players, fans, and especially MB customers.
On the afternoon of July 20, 2026, New Sports and PPA Tour Asia officially launched the MB Ho Chi Minh City Open 2026, marking the return of Asia’s professional pickleball tour to Vietnam.
Following action-packed stops in Hanoi, Kuala Lumpur, Macao, China, and Tokyo, PPA Tour Asia heads to Singapore before arriving in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam’s continued presence on the tour’s international calendar cements its place on the regional pickleball map — and reflects the fast-growing pull of the sport’s local community.
The tournament runs from August 6–9, 2026 at New Sports Club, City Park, The Global City, Binh Trung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, with a US$70,000 Pro prize pool and up to 500 PPA global ranking points on the line for champions. Beyond the on-court stakes, this year’s event features a program of prizes, gifts, and experience privileges from sponsors — MB among them — with a combined value running into the billions of dong.
After just over three weeks of registration, the tournament has drawn more than 500 players from over 20 countries and territories. Pro and amateur divisions run side by side, giving players of every level the chance to compete on international-standard courts.

The most anticipated storyline for local fans is the reunion of Mixed Doubles pair Hien Truong and Sophia Huynh, who last teamed up at the PPA Asia 1000 MB Hanoi Cup 2026. The field is also expected to feature Collin Johns, former Men’s Doubles World No. 1, and Hong Kit Wong, the Hong Kong, China star with multiple major titles on PPA Tour Asia. With PPA ranking points and Ho Chi Minh City silverware up for grabs, fierce battles are guaranteed.
Amateur registration remains open until July 24, 2026 at here.
All 16 competition courts have been upgraded to PPA Tour Asia standards. The Championship Court, Grandstand Court, and 14 Standard courts are fully covered, with additional rain protection to keep play running across all four days.
Championship Court tickets go on sale at 12:00 PM on July 22, 2026 via Ticketbox. Prices range from VND 265,000 to 660,000 for GA, VND 530,000 to 1,190,000 for VIP, and VND 2,380,000 to 7,920,000 for VVIP. VIP and VVIP tickets come with official tournament merchandise — a towel, cap, or shirt — plus access to the VIP Lounge.
Headlining the ticket lineup, MB and the Organizing Committee are introducing the MB Central VVIP — the tournament’s most premium tier. Guests will watch the action from Central Courtside, the center row along the sideline with the best views and the closest seats to the players. The package includes an exclusive gift set — a pickleball paddle, premium sports backpack, and towel, cap, or shirt — along with VIP Lounge access: a one-of-a-kind international sport experience reserved for MB customers.

The Grandstand Court, Standard courts, and Pickletown will all be free to enter. After its breakout success at the Hanoi stop in April 2026, the Pickletown experience village returns bigger than before, alongside the full range of attractions already on offer at City Park, The Global City.
Deeper Connections, Higher Tiers — Extending the Journey of Happiness
